MOBILEMALL'S Media Team From · Dallas, Texas

SOSACTIVE: US desk behind MobileMall

We are the in-house team that covers America for MobileMall. Phones, music tech, streaming, social platforms and the events where all of it gets announced, written from the same timezone it happens in.

How the team works

MobileMall's main desks sit in Asia. That works fine for most of the world, except the biggest launch events happen in the US and by the time Asia wakes up, the American conversation has already moved on. SoSoActive exists to close that gap.

The desk runs from Dallas. When Apple takes the stage in Cupertino or Samsung books out a hall in San Francisco, someone from this team is watching it live, not reading a recap the next morning. Coverage goes up while the US audience is still actually talking about it.

Beyond launch days, the team files continuously on social music startups, mobile music apps, streaming platform moves and product reviews, and handles the interactive marketing side of MobileMall's US presence. Around eight to ten people, writers and producers, one newsroom rhythm.

What we cover

Social & Mobile

Platform changes, app launches and the social music startups trying to become the next big thing. If a feature changes how Americans use their phones, it gets covered here first and the rest of the MobileMall network picks it up from us.

Entertainment & Streaming

Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus, the streaming bundles and the endless subscription math American households do every month. We track what launches, what dies quietly, and what is actually worth paying for.

Music Technology

This is the beat the team is built around. Mobile music applications, features like Audio Eraser pulling vocals apart in real time, karaoke through tvOS, Wi-Fi speaker lines, and where phone hardware and listening habits meet.

Reviews & Interactive Marketing

Hands-on product reviews written for US buyers with US pricing, plus the interactive marketing work that keeps MobileMall's American audience growing. Practical over promotional, every time.

A small team in Texas

Eight to ten people working out of Dallas. Writers, a reviews lead, social producers. Small enough that nothing gets lost between departments, close enough to US launch culture that nothing arrives secondhand.

The team publishes under MobileMall across the network you already read.

Events this desk has covered

The coverage you have read on MobileMall from these launches came through the SoSoActive team, filed from US time.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked and Galaxy S26

The team covered the Galaxy S26 series from announcement through review, including the Galaxy AI additions that matter for music and media use, like the updated Audio Eraser that separates voices, music and background noise live while you watch Netflix or YouTube. When Samsung later pushed those tools down to the S25 and S24 through One UI 8.5, that update coverage came from this desk too.

CES, Las Vegas

Every January the team is at CES. The 2026 edition meant walking Samsung's Entertainment Companion zone at the Wynn, the Micro RGB display, the new Music Studio Wi-Fi speakers and the Sound Tower lineup, and turning it into coverage MobileMall readers could use rather than a press release repeat.

Apple's September events and WWDC

iPhone launch days are the biggest traffic days of the year for any phone site, and the US desk carries them. Alongside hardware, the team tracks Apple's entertainment stack, Apple Music TV's free 24/7 video stream, Apple TV app changes, and tvOS 26 bringing Apple Music Sing karaoke to the living room with an iPhone as the mic.

#TeamGalaxy Connect, San Francisco

Samsung gathered its global creator community in San Francisco in March 2026 and the desk covered it from the ground, the kind of event that never makes sense to cover from twelve timezones away.

Sony audio and the wider US launch calendar

Between the headline events sit the Sony headphone refreshes, soundbar launches, esports tie-ins like the PUBG Mobile Global Open running on Galaxy hardware, and the steady stream of US-only service launches. The desk files on all of it as part of the regular rhythm.
